After Note 7, Now Samsung washing machines recalled due to explosions

Samsung is in a much trouble now days. Things are really getting worse for Samsung. First Note 7 got exploding issues and now Samsung recalling 2.8 million Samsung washing machines because of exploding issues.

Samsung took the decision of recalling the products after getting reports of explosion of 730 washing units, results in nine injuries. U.S. Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announces this on Good Morning America Friday.

We’re talking about… a very serious hazard of the top of these washing machines completely blowing off,” Elliot Kaye, chairman of the CPSC, said. “It is a lot of reports.” He clarified that the tops of the affected washing units were not “secured enough based on a design failure”

This major recall affects almost 34 numerous Samsung top-notch models sold from March 2011 to November 2016.

After this issue, Samsung is now offering three options to the consumers.

  1. Free in-home repair of the washing unit, which includes the reinforcement of the units defected top along with one year free extension of the warranty.
  2. Second option is that consumers can receive a rebate applied towards the purchase of a new washing unit – whether it’s a Samsung or not. It includes free installation of the new Washing machine.
  3. Consumers can receive a full refund now if they purched the Samsung washing unit within the past 30 days of the recall announcement.
