The script of the movie was written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg in their teenage years. So, technically it took over seven years to complete the script and get it going. Seth Rogen was asked to play one of the main character, but because of his age and physique, he preferred to play a police-officer.
The movie is about two high school senior childhood friends, who are soon to be departed to their respective colleges. Both of them have never hooked up with a girl. Seth(Jonah Hill) fancies Jules(Emma Stone), who he pairs up with at the cooking class. Jules invites him at her party and asks him if he could bring alcohol. He agrees to bring the alcohol in a split second, even if he knew that he couldn’t rely on Fogell(Christopher Mintz-Plasse). When Fogell gets his fake ID, both Seth and Evan(Michael Cera) are disgusted by his fake name i.e McLovin. Seth sees no other way of buying the alcohol but to ask Fogell to use his fake ID.

Fogell successfully buys the alcohol but a robber gets in the store, knocks him out and take all the money in the register. When the cops arrive at the scene, Seth and Evan think that Fogell’s been busted and their plan is ruined. Seth goes full retard as that could’ve been his only opportunity to hook up with Jules. They both decide to bail out on Fogell and leave the scene. The cops apparently get fooled by Fogell’s fake ID and take him with them to where he wanted to go. Seth and Evan leave for a party with this guy who accidentally hits Seth while reversing his car. Seth and Evan find out that that the guy was an uninvited guest, so they escape. Will Seth find a way to get the liquor for jules’ party? Will the boys ever get a girlfriend?? Did Fogell really got busted? Watch the movie to clear your doubts!
